Holy Father in Heaven, we humble ourselves before you
as the Creator and sustainer of this universe.
We come before you boldly as your children seeking to do your will in all things.
We thank you for your word.
We thank you for providentially preserving your word
so that mankind can come to know you as they read and study it.
We thank you for the scholars who have translated your word in English.
We thank you for the mind you have given us to understanding your word and apply it to our lives.
We ask you to bless each soul who reads your word from this simple English version.
Give them wisdom, boldness, and a desire to serve you with all their heart.
In the Name of the one with the seven stars in His right hand…
