CONVERSION

The churches of Christ Greet You (Romans 16:16)

Let us pray…

Holy Father in Heaven, we humbly approach You again in prayer.

We come with thankfulness for this another opportunity

to let our request and thanksgivings be known.

Dear Father, we are thankful for the forgiveness of sins in Christ.

We are thankful that you have so plainly given us Your word

which leads to our salvation.

We are thankful for each soul who will read these lessons on conversions.

Please bless those who are not yet Christians

with a humble heart to obey Your teachings.

Please bless those who are Christians to truly be converted to You.

In the precious name of the One who loved us and died for us…

By the authority of Jesus we pray.

Let us all say, AMEN!

Loved ones, in this series (after an introductory lesson) we will endeavor to trace the inspired accounts of the conversion to Christ of four different persons, widely separated from one another in space and character. The first will be the treasurer of the Queen of Ethiopia, whose home was far to the south, in Africa. The second will be a subordinate officer in the Roman army, located at the time in Caesarea in Palestine. The third, a pious businesswoman in Philippi of Macedonia, on another continent ‑ that of Europe. And the fourth, Saul of Tarsus, the fiery persecutor of the church in Jerusalem. We will endeavored to show the working of God's plans and devices ‑ if we may so speak of Him ‑ by which He brought about the conversion of these four persons.
